Reverend John Haney Bio

John grew up in Buford, Georgia. His is graduate of North Gwinnett High School, attended Reinhardt Universtiy, graduated from LaGrange College and Emory University.

He has served as a minister in the United Methodist Church for 40 years. He has served churches in Roopville, Americus, Glenville, Macon, Gray, and Savannah.

He has been married to Gale Wood for 35 years. They have two children, Beth Hickman who lives in Macon, and Matthew who lives in New York City. Beth is married to Cory Hickman and they have two sons, Cash and Mac.

John has been a Law Enforcement Chaplain for the past 21 years. He has served with the Jones County Sheriff's Department, and the Gray Police Department. He currently serves as a State of Georgia Law Enforcement Chaplin under the Governor's Office and is a Chaplain for The Department of Natural Resources.

He has traveled extensively to the Lands of the Bible.

He loves traveling, reading, and spending time with his family.
